This is our large frame version. Contactor is over-rated for 15HP. Overload is sized for 10HP trip ratings.
This is for a new magnetic motor starter designed to start, stop and protect machines.  Designed with momentary type switches and pre-wired latch that breaks circuit during overload or loss of main power.
Pre-wired for easy installation.
This starter includes a combination start/stop/LED indicator switch, industrial grade and steel bezel.  Modular design allows for additional contact blocks to be added.  Comes with 1 NO and 1 NC contacts.
The unit will arrive completely assembled in a real nice Nema 4X hinged door enclosure.  Mounting are now included and shipped loose with assembly.  Mounting feet allow for installation without effecting water proof integrity.
Our motor starters use UL certified IEC type components.
IEC type motor starters are made up of primarily two parts. A contactor and overload device. Both devices have maximum ratings and the overload has maximum and minimum ratings. You should choose a motor starter that fits both criteria. If you need help please email or call, we will be glad to assist.
To size your starter properly you must determine the following:
-Three phase or Single phase
-Supply voltage ie. 120V; 240V; 480V; 600V
-Machine single motor HP
-Motor FLA (full load Amps)
-Application, what type of machine you running
We recommend that for certain machines to use a contactor the is oversized. Meaning if you have a 10 HP machine and the contactor is rated for not more than 10 HP, we recommend you go up one contactor size to a 15 HP contactor. This is recommended for hard starting machines and machines that are started and stopped frequently. Such as air compressors, blowers, vacuums etc... Also, you must size the contactor based on your supply voltage. A contactor rated for 15 HP at 240V three phase will be rated for less HP at 480V. Exceeding the contactors rating will dramatically reduce its life.
Ratings of contactor used in this starter, do not exceed ratings:
1 phase- 7.5 HP @ 240 VAC Max FLA 40 Amps
3 phase- 15 HP @ 200 VAC Max FLA 48 Amps
3 phase- 15 HP @ 240 VAC Max FLA 42 Amps
Control voltage is
208-240 VAC
and is pre-wired. (Note: the power source for the control wiring of this starter is pre-wired and sourced from your feeder wiring directly on the line side of the starter.  You will not need to pull in a separate power source for the controls).
The control voltage is the voltage used to activate the coil of the contactor. In the simplest install you will want a coil voltage the same as your power supply. But is some cases you might want the control voltage to be different for a host of reasons.
All components used in our assemblies are UL Certified.
The overload will have an adjustable Amperage range. Your overload choice is based on your machines FLA. If your machine motor has a FLA of 10 Amps at your supply voltage then you should choose the overload where 10 Amp falls within the adjustable range. For a 10 Amp FLA we would recommend overload 9 - 13 Amps.
Our overloads can be set for manual or automatic reset operation. The overload control is pre-wired by Elimia in a way that trips the starter. This is done to protect your equipment and is one of the main purposes of a motor starter.
If you are ordering this motor starter for a single phase application, please let us know. There is a slight wiring change that we do that sets it up for single phase.

Enclosure is NEMA 4X (also rated Nema 1, 2, 3R, 4, 5, 12, 13, 6, 6p) made in USA by Enclosure Solutions. Provides protection from water/dust/oil. UL listed to 600V.  This enclosure does not provide knockouts for wiring.
