Large & Lovely - Size 42 - Vintage 1960s MEL-LIN Tiered Hemline Full Slip - USA

Description

Classic black full slip with darling lace trim.  This has an inverted "V" bodice with gathers under the cups to add shape for the breasts.  There is a "V" neckline with pretty scroll-work netted lace all along the top bodice.  There is a darling little black ribbon bow at the bottom of the "V" neckline.  The back bodice has a natural waistline.  The skirt is a soft a-line with a 3.5" tiered hemline treatment.  I believe it was designed like this so that a tier could be cut off to shorten the length but it is so pretty like this that I wouldn't make that change.  The thin ribbon straps are adjustable with plastic hardware.
This is a beautiful slip that will be a joy to wear.  What a gorgeous slip in great condition!
This is a slinky little slip that will make you feel good all over when you wear it under your business suit or little cocktail dress.  This is a beautifully made item as you would expect from a fine maker like Mel-Lin in the 1960s when made in the U.S.A. was a guarantee of quality and craftsmanship.

.  There is give ito this fabric.  The label says, "By Mel-Lin - 100% Nylon - Made in U.S.A. - Size 42" on the front and "RN 53167 - Exclusive of Decoration" with washing instructions on the back.
