    Description

This is a  home made 100% cotton petticoat, made with four layers of 11" wide ruffles. The fabric is  very sturdy, good quality muslin or sheeting.  It has a narrow waistband, with a back opening which buttons at the waist with a white plastic button. The waist measures 26" when closed and the petticoat is 42" from top to bottom. The bottom measures 135 inches.  There are 4 casings where hooping can be added to turn the petticoat into a hoop skirt.
The petticoat is in good-used condition. There is a zig-zagged repair, about two inches long on the top ruffle at the bottom of the 6" waist opening. There may be some small spots and smudges and small holes. No major stains, rips or holes.
The petticoat would work well for 1830-40's, especially if the ruffles are ironed and heavily starched. With the addition of hoops it would work for 1850's to mid 1860's. Great starter piece.
As a used item the petticoat is sold "as is."  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Thanks for looking and Happy eBaying!
